CROSBY ARBORETUM MUSHROOM WALK - AUGUST 29, 2009

You may remember Dr. Juan Mata from last year’s trail dedication honoring Dr. Bill Cibula, a well-known Southeast mycophile, and his outstanding presentation of Dr. Cibula’s slides.  We are privileged to have Dr. Mata back again for a guided mushroom walk of the Arboretum grounds.  His students at the University of South Alabama, Mobile, have described him as “the best botany teacher in the south”, so please come and enjoy this time with him while learning about fungi’s fascinating ecology, taxonomy, and relationship to mankind.   Come dressed to go outside.  Program is free to members, and $5 for non-members.  Please call to register by August 27 so that we have a head count; no pre-pay necessary - pay upon arrival.
